This is an odd one! Due to some serious Desertfest-based booking confusion, veteran Italians attempt to squeeze their girthy psych/fuzz/doom riffs into one of the tiniest venues in Glasgow. They SHOULD have been in the somewhat roomier Stereo the previous night, but somebody had booked them for Desertfest in London on the same day. Oops.
Line-up:
THRAA: Mesmerising Manchester drone duo. Two guitars. Occasional ethereal singing. Sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, always very good indeed. I started recording the attached video somewhat at random and just kept going. Ended up 18 minutes long. I am entirely happy with that.

UFOMAMMUT: Ufomammut celebrating their 25th anniversary with a new album and some shows, and loosening a few bowels in the tiny Hug'n'Pint with the fattest of psychedelic stoner/doom riffs. They even hit us with a barely recognisable cover of Pink Floyd's 'Welcome to the Machine', done in the inimitable Ufomammut style. Video below features 'KISMET' from the aforementioned new album.
