Following on from the previous post, we go back one more day to Boom in Leeds for the now traditional Damnation pre-show show. Some might say it's more fun than the actual fest. It's certainly sweatier and more intimate.

Line-up:
KINGPIN: Furious Glaswegian hardcore.
PLAGUE RIDER: Experimental death metal from the north-east, featuring James Watts who is in every Newcastle band ever.
SURYA: Sludgy London post-metal.
WOLFBASTARD: Manchester black metal/d-beat. Whatever THAT is.
HAAR: Sadly no more, atmospheric black metal from Edinburgh. Normally shrouded in evil fog, it was nice to actually see them this time.
FLASHPOINT: NWOIHM from Dublin. Like Iron Maiden if they wanted to fight you.
CRYPTIC SHIFT: Their Facebook page says 'phenomenal technical astrodeath'. Yes. They're from Leeds. Pointiest guitar of the evening.
CREPITATION: 'Slamming brutal deathgrind' from Liverpool. Song lyrics unlikely to feature fluffy bunnies. Unless they're being fed into a mincing machine.
