Their first outing as headliner, local blackened prog-metal duo Ophanim at Legends in Edinburgh playing their EP release gig.
Line-up:
SCRAMBLE: The first duo of the night. Local lads, doing a kind of instrumental technical metal
ACIDSAURUS BONG: Sludgy stoner trio. Sounds pretty much exactly as their name would suggest. Fond of dinosaurs.
WE MAKE MAMMOTHS: Fast and furious thrash metal from West Lothian

OPHANIM: Our hosts tonight, celebrating the release of their 'TRIPTYCH' EP. (For those who can't be bothered Googling it, a triptych is 'a set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together'.) Oddly, for an EP release show, there was no sign of said EP. No CDs, no tapes. Can't even find it on Bandcamp. So, bearing in mind the description, I must assume that it contains three songs
OPHANIM, by the way, are a class of celestial beings in Judeo-Christian mythology that are known for their wisdom and thus are depicted as being angels of knowledge. Also, they look like big wheels full of eyes. Obviously.
