This is an odd one. Had been looking forward to this since it was announced - one of my favourite live bands and another I'd been keen to see for ages. Best laid plans...
Line-up:
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX: Anarcho-prog collective, usually sturdy and reliable live, but oddly unsatisfying this time round. Mostly due, I think, to the venue, and my location near the back. Where I was, the sound was poor, the lighting was hostile and there was far too much smoke. Frustrating. No blame on the band, though.

MØL: Danish blackgaze. Like I said above, I'd wanted to see these for ages but, again, the experience was marred by the venue issues. Incidentally, that hat in the video probably belongs to the singer from CBP.

IMPURE WILHELMINA: Swiss prog-metal, unwieldy name. Surprisingly blessed with probably the best sound of the night. Vocals oddly high in the mix, though.
