It's odd how, since the plague, the traditional handshake has become a thing of uncertainty. Do you stick with the standard grasp? Or do you go for the fist bump, the elbow bump or even the high five? (We'll discount the manly hug for now.) How do you know what the other guy is going to do?
To illustrate this dilemma, recently I witnessed, at a gig, two chums meeting and greeting each other. Guy A went with the fist bump, but Guy B countered with an attempted high five. What we got was not any kind of handshake, but an awkward rock/paper/scissors scenario. Guy B must be declared the winner, as we all know that Paper beats Rock.
